2018 Wedding Trend Predictions

wedding trends

The holiday season is here, making it a good time for gifts, family gatherings, and predictions for what is going to be popular next year.

Conversations switch from “thank you mom for the pajamas” to “I can’t believe we’re at the end of 2017.”

With one-year concluding, a new year is coming and it brings with it new wedding trends that will attract the masses. Let’s talk about what will be in for 2018 weddings.

His and Her drinks!

They are excellent ways to have him branch out from ordering a beer and her to get excited about. His and Her drinks can be as simple as a Malibu bay breeze and a Jack and Coke or as extravagant as a flavored mojito muddled on the spot and a “new old fashioned” for an interesting twist on today’s popular spirits.

Make the bar conversational and fun. It will speed up your line when it comes to making decisions and will have your guests trying one of your favorite concoctions just how you like it.

Making your wedding different!

If there was something cute about competition, you would find it in the wedding environment.

The recent spark in our station décor and food presentation has been in large part influenced by our modern direction and culinary team but confirmed by brides and grooms who are booking now.

They want to throw a party that impresses. We live in Philadelphia, so it only makes sense that our Philly Cheesesteak station has been a huge hit. The craft beer market is growing each year and the thirst for this trend can be quenched with our Beer Garden Station. You can also send your guests home with something warm and delicious with our Doughnut Wall station.

Outdoor ceremony!

The amount invested by the Warrington’s ownership in its ceremony gardens is a great indication of how big this trend will be come 2018’s spring, summer and fall. The convenience and beauty of hosting your ceremony in our private outdoor gardens that will be right next to your cocktail room can’t be beat.

Say I do under blue skies; outdoor gardens have become the romantic place to make your love for each other official and we have the perfect grounds for it!

After meeting with many couples leading up to the busy 2018 wedding season, we have found these trends to be extremely popular.

What do you think will be the biggest trend for weddings next year? Let us know when you take a tour with us here at Bucks County’s premier wedding destination.

The Season is Autumn at the Warrington

Apple Cider SangriaPrime real estate in the world of weddings is autumn.  If you have secured a date during this time you probably made it happen by planning way in advance.

So, what has made the fall the most desirable time of year to host your wedding day?  Maybe it’s the fall foliage that looks great in photos or the weather that has hit the perfect spot of not too hot and not too cold. One things for sure, Pinterest has showcased the enticing décor that surrounds this season and our brides love it!

Here at the Warrington, we make sure we represent the seasonal theme for all our couples and their guests.

Seasonal Cocktails & Beer

When you first arrive and are ready to get the night off to a great start, what is your first move? If you said a trip to the bar we have you covered with a couple of seasonal options. Sangria’s are typically flavored with seasonal fruits, which inspired us to make our “Fall Sangria.” It was a hit last year and is back with its cinnamon dusted apple garnish that pairs perfectly with the apple cider sangria flavor.

Wedding Trends of 2015: What We’ve Seen at the Warrington

wedding trends of 2015Having trouble deciding on the look and feel of your wedding? Perhaps you don’t even have a theme picked out?

From centerpieces to card baskets, table seating cards to personal decoration ideas, here at the Warrington we quickly get a sense of what is trending in the wedding industry. Hopefully these ideas will spark some creativity within you for your big day!

Themes

It’s always a good idea to have a theme for your wedding, and many couples, of course, choose a theme based on their interests. For a really nice beach theme, for example, decorate with sea shells, treasure chest card boxes, and various shades of blue. The rustic chic theme has been trending lately — think burlap, wooden signs, window pane seating charts, and bird cages for cards. Downton Abbey themes with elegant and vintage decorations are also popular. What will be your theme?

Cake Toppers

Couples are steering away from the traditional kissing-bride-and-groom cake topper. Instead, cake toppers are better reflecting the couples’ interests, hobbies, and relationships with one another. A recent cake topper for a beach/boating themed wedding at the Warrington had the groom with a fishing rod, casting a line out to his bride below.  We’ve even had Mickey and Minnie Mouse for a Disney themed wedding. Find something that captures you and your spouse; it makes for a great keepsake after you cut the cake!

A Brief History of June Weddings

June has arrived already, and with that flip of the calendar page comes a whole lot of weddings. Many people associate June with being the most popular month to get married, but do they know the history behind it?

Everything's better when you share it with friendsGetting married in June dates all the way back to Roman times and the goddess Juno. Juno is considered the protector of women as well as the goddess of marriage. Because of this, June weddings were thought to bring the bride good luck.

From a more practical standpoint, June was when people took their annual baths. Sure, one bath a year seems gross now, but back then that was their way of life. Therefore, it made sense to get married in June when the couple and their guests were showered and cleaned up. Some people even say that the flowers helped to mask the odor. Also, people planned their weddings in June so that they could have their first baby the following spring. That way they would be able to help out with the fall harvest afterwards.

Of course, none of the above reasons are relevant to today’s marriages. So why is June still such a popular wedding month?

Why a Fall Wedding Should Be at the Top of Your Big Day’s Wish List

Fall foliage, harvest-themed fashion, and recent renovations at the Warrington Country Club

fall weddingEven if you’re still in the very beginning stages of planning your wedding day, you’ve probably already figured out that choosing a season for the ceremony, and then a specific month, should almost certainly be the very first step of your planning process.

According to The Knot, June, August and September are three of the year’s most popular wedding day months. Which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise — the time-honored spring or summer wedding, after all, has long been thought of as a customary nuptial tradition. In some circles, it’s practically expected.

But we’d like to officially register our approval for a matrimonial trend that seems to be increasing in popularity with each new year: getting married in the gorgeously elegant season of autumn.

There are so many reasons to consider a fall wedding: The romantically crisp weather. The warm colors and flavors of the harvest season. An autumn-themed reception, complete with a roaring fireplace.

For your own planning purposes, here are a few more fall-season factors to bear in mind while putting together the details of your big day. Continue Reading Why a Fall Wedding Should Be at the Top of Your Big Day’s Wish List
